Benjamin Hafner, B.Arch.
Born on 28.07.1978 in Ljubljana. Seven years he attended Elementary School in Rodica. At the same time he have studied with a professional Artist Vera Terstenjak (drawing and painting). His work has already been than a part of many Public Exhibitions. At the same time he was also involved with Martial Arts and other sports. While in Kamnik High School he was given a Scholarship for talented students. The year 98/99 he enrolled at the University of Architecture in Ljubljana. 2001 he was accepted to Design Studio Subjec under the mentorship of Professor Aleš Vodopivec. The third year he became a Demonstrator to students doing their seminars. In the fourth year in 2002/2003 he was among 100 students from Europe, along with ten students, selected in an International Competition for Light International Workshop "Lichteinfall" in Coburgu in Germany. He began with practice in the office of Arhitektura Krušec. He was nominated for the Student Award Piranesi for Craft zone Polhov Graz, which he made at the seminar. 2005/2006 he began producing a thesis titled »A new Concert Hall and Exhibition space France Bernik Cultural Centre in Domžale«. Graduated in June 2006. For the Thesis he received an International Recognition - 6. Trimo Research Award. At the Design Studio Subjec he become a Technical Assistant to students on Faculty and started working in studios. In 2010 he founded an Association of Architects Domžale. From 2014 he is a Managing Director at Architectural Company Hafner Arhitekti d.o.o. where he leads the projects. From 2014 he is also a Designer of a new medical furniture and equipment design for International Company Simps`s d.o.o.
